86162 Transmission Meter
Accurately Measures Windshield, Window Tint, and Window Film Light Transmission
Measures visible light transmittance (380nm–760nm)
Measures UV rejection rate at 365nm
Measures IR rejection rate at 940nm
The 86162 Transmission Meter is a compact and portable device designed to simultaneously measure three key optical parameters: visible light transmittance, ultraviolet (UV) rejection, and infrared (IR) rejection. It is ideal for use in product displays, trade shows, production lines, quality control, and inspection processes. This window film meter accurately evaluates the optical performance of materials such as automotive safety films, architectural window films, and laminated glass. It is widely used by solar film manufacturers, automotive film distributors, and retail operations within the auto film industry.

FAQ
-
1. The difference between 86162 (940nm) and 86162A (1400nm) window film transmission meters
The main difference between 86162 and 86162A is that the IR bands are different. The infrared peak wavelength of 86162 is 940nm and the 86162A is 1400nm. These two bands are more representative bands. The absorbing film has a better infrared rejection effect at 940nm.The metallic film (Insulation by reflection) has a better infrared rejection effect at 1400nm. Please choose the appropriate instrument according to your own film.

2. The difference between 86162 and 86163 window film transmission meters
86162 measuring notch width is 8mm, 86163 measuring notch width is 6mm;
86162 use point light source, while 86163 use parallel light path. The latter has higher data accuracy when measuring thick materials;
86162 can only measure visible light transmittance, infrared and ultraviolet rejection rate, while 86163 can measure infrared and ultraviolet transmittance in addition to these three data;
86163 has three display interfaces, the screen can be rotated in four directions and has a screen backlight, but 86162 does not.
-
3. The difference between 86162 and 86101 window film transmission meters
86162 use point light source, while 86101 use parallel light path. The latter has higher data accuracy for measuring thick materials;
86162 can only be powered by battery, while 86101 can also be powered by USB cable in addition to battery;
86101 has screen backlight, while 86162 has no screen backlight;
Except for the above differences and the differences in appearance, the other parameters of 86101 and 86162 are completely the same.
