86183 Spectrum Transmission Meter
Designed for Measuring Light Transmittance of Thick Materials
Simultaneously measures UV, IR, and visible light transmittance
47mm-wide test slot accommodates thicker materials
Large LCD screen with three selectable display modes
The 86183 Spectrum Transmission Meter uses a parallel light path design and is ideal for evaluating the optical properties of various materials, including thermal insulation coatings, single-layer glass, laminated glass (insulated glass), coated glass, PMMA, PC, and others. It can measure ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR), and visible light transmittance at the same time. With a 47mm-wide test slot, this device accommodates thicker transparent materials. The meter utilizes UV, IR, and visible light sources to illuminate the sample. Sensors measure both the initial intensity of the light and the transmitted intensity after passing through the material, calculating the final transmittance percentage.

FAQ
-
1. The difference between 86183 spectrum transmission meter and 86182 window film transmission meter
86182 can measure six parameters of visible light 380-760nm, ultraviolet 365nm, infrared 940nm, 1400nm, full infrared and SHGC.
86183 can measure visible light 380-760nm, ultraviolet 365nm, infrared 940nm.
-
2. The difference between 86183 and 86108H spectrum transmission meter
Both 86183 and 86108H spectrum transmission meters can measure the transmittance of infrared, ultraviolet and visible light.
1) 86183 use a card slot design with a detector hole diameter of 10mm and width between the light source and the receiver is 47mm.
2) 86108H use a desktop design, the detector hole diameter is only 1mm and the height between the light source and the receiver is 20mm.
86108H is suitable for measuring small-sized materials and more widely used, so the price of 86183 is slightly higher. 86183 is suitable for measuring large-sized materials.
