It accurately measures coatings on both metal substrates—such as steel and aluminum—and non-metal materials like carbon fiber and plastics. The device detects paint thickness on ferrous and aluminum surfaces and identifies non-metallic car bodies, ferrous putty layers, and galvanized steel. The 3-color backlight provides instant, easy-to-read measurement results.
